:  at  £79.00  each

A beautifully decorative opaque milk glass portrait vase, featuring a charming young woman in an elaborate bonnet, framed by flowers, delicate green foliage and raised enamel detailing. Standing 25.5 cm tall, this striking vase combines a creamy white glass body with a rich reddish-brown graduated neck and shoulders. The finely transfer-printed portrait is enhanced with raised white enamel highlights, while hand-painted green foliage and gilded floral motifs create an elegant decorative border. The design evokes the romantic portrait glass fashionable during the late Victorian and Edwardian periods, around the turn of the 20th century. The vase may be of Continental European manufacture, possibly Bohemian, although it is unmarked and its precise origin and age have not been established. Details Material: Opaque white milk glass Height: 25.5 cm Width: Approximately 11.5 cm Decoration: Transfer-printed portrait, hand-painted foliage, raised enamel and gilt highlights Period: Late Victorian or Edwardian style; exact date unconfirmed Maker: Unmarked A particularly attractive display piece for collectors of antique decorative glass, portrait glass and romantic Victorian interiors.
