A characterful vintage studio pottery vase made by Joan and Brian Marris at Ravenshead Pottery in Nottinghamshire. The hand-thrown vase has a rounded bottle form with a narrow neck and gently flared rim. Its warm, finely speckled stoneware body is finished with expressive glossy brown glaze running from the neck across the shoulders, giving each side a slightly different appearance. CONDITION Excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Please examine all photographs closely, as they form part of the description. DIMENSIONS Height: 12 cm Width at widest point: approximately 8 cm The base carries the impressed circular Ravenshead mark with the intertwined JB initials. Joan and Brian Marris produced their distinctive hand-thrown pottery from their Nottinghamshire studio, particularly during the 1980s. A handsome small vase with strong earthy colouring—ideal for a studio pottery collection, a single dried stem or simply displayed as a decorative piece.
