  • £38.00

:  at  £38.00  each

A striking matching pair of vintage silver-plated vases by Mazref of Israel. Each vase has an elegant pedestal form with a flared neck and a deeply embossed central band featuring pomegranates, flowers and foliage. The raised decoration has developed rich coppery tones, creating a dramatic contrast against the remaining silver-coloured finish. Both pieces are stamped “MAZREF” to the underside. CONDITION These vases have substantial age-related tarnishing, surface wear, scratches and areas of silver-plate loss, with the warmer base metal showing through. This gives them a beautifully aged appearance, but they are not pristine pieces. Please examine all photographs carefully for the condition and finish. No attempt has been made to polish them heavily. MEASUREMENTS Height: 21 cm each Circumference at widest point: approximately 25 cm each Sold together as a matching pair. Beautiful displayed empty on a mantelpiece or shelf, or used as narrow flower vases. Their pomegranate decoration also gives them particular appeal as vintage Israeli and Judaica collectables.
