:  at  £25.00  each

A beautifully understated vintage studio pottery vase by P&E Hall of Pennine Studios, Burnley, Lancashire. This tall bottle-form vase has a wonderfully balanced shape, with a rounded body rising into a long slender neck and gently flared rim. The surface is finished in soft natural shades of oatmeal, cream and stone, with subtle horizontal throwing lines and variations in the glaze giving it plenty of quiet texture. The restrained neutral palette gives the piece a distinctly modern feel despite its vintage origins, and it would sit particularly well in a contemporary, rustic or mid-century inspired interior. Pennine Studios operated from Kidrow Lane in Burnley, Lancashire and is associated with Peter and Edna Hall. Their work encompasses individually made studio ceramics ranging from decorative painted pieces to quieter, earthy forms such as this example. A lovely piece of British studio pottery that works equally well displayed alone or as part of a collection. Vintage condition with the natural variations and minor signs of age expected from a handmade studio piece. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
