ORIGINAL K WILKINSON LINCOLNSHIRE OIL PAINTING A charming small original oil painting by Lincolnshire artist K. Wilkinson, depicting an atmospheric rural landscape beneath a softly glowing sky. The composition is dominated by an wonderfully characterful old tree, with a winding track, rustic fencing and birds crossing the sky beyond. The restrained palette of soft ochre, grey, blue and earthy brown gives the painting a wonderfully quiet, nostalgic quality. There is plenty of visible texture and expressive brushwork, particularly through the tree and foreground, giving this little painting considerably more character than its modest size might suggest. Signed K. Wilkinson to the lower left. The painting is presented in its attractive vintage frame, with a warm wood-effect outer edge and contrasting dark inner moulding. It is ready to display and would look particularly lovely in a cottage, country interior, gallery wall or collection of small vintage paintings. ARTIST K. Wilkinson, Lincolnshire MEDIUM Original oil painting SIZE Approximately 16 x 21 cm framed. CONDITION Good vintage condition with the age-related character expected of an older painting and frame. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description. ABOUT THE ARTIST The painting is signed K. Wilkinson and is attributed to a Lincolnshire artist by that name. I have deliberately not added an extensive biography as I have not found sufficiently reliable information to confidently connect this particular K. Wilkinson with a documented artist of the same name. The appeal here is the painting itself: an original, signed piece of British landscape art with lovely muted colours and a wonderfully atmospheric country feel. A particularly appealing little original for anyone who loves traditional British landscapes, cottage interiors, vintage artwork and one-of-a-kind pieces with genuine age and character. Carefully packed for posting.
