VINTAGE TERA STUDIO POTTERY VASE A wonderfully graphic vintage TERA studio pottery vase, signed to the base with the distinctive TERA mark and circular symbol. Standing approximately 16 cm tall, this slender cylindrical vase has a beautifully tactile surface decorated with deeply incised geometric bands. Rows of chevrons, small impressed marks and linear decoration encircle the body, contrasting against bands of rich brown, black, cream and ochre glaze. Visible throwing lines around the upper and lower sections add to its handmade character. The combination of earthy colouring, strong geometric decoration and simple cylindrical form gives the vase a particularly appealing Mid-Century Modern / 1960s–70s studio pottery aesthetic. MAKER TERA Pottery The base carries the impressed TERA maker's mark with its circular symbol above. MEASUREMENTS Height: approximately 16 cm Width: approximately 6 cm CONDITION Good vintage condition with the natural variations associated with handmade pottery and age. Please examine all photographs carefully, as these form part of the description and show the condition and character of the piece. STYLE & DISPLAY This is a particularly decorative piece of studio pottery. Its strong geometric pattern works beautifully alongside Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian, Brutalist and rustic interiors. It would make a lovely addition to a collection of vintage studio ceramics, displayed alone on a shelf or mantel, or grouped with other earthy-toned pottery. A distinctive signed vintage ceramic with plenty of texture and character. Carefully packed for posting.
